This forum will be an opportunity to discuss the cycle of violence in Philadelphia and its impact on the community. Touching on topics like poverty, failing schools, and broken communities, the panel will address the efforts of the criminal justice community to change the trajectory of our city’s most disadvantaged youth. District Attorney Seth Williams’ opening remarks will highlight his vision for an effective District Attorney’s office and his efforts to implement community-wide partnerships to address the challenges facing Philadelphia.

Panelists include:
Everett Gillison, Chief of Staff for Mayor Michael Nutter, Deputy Mayor for Public Safety
Lawrence Goode ‘84, Assistant District Attorney, Assistant Chief of the Appeals Unit
Sherry Hunter, Executive Director of Center City Crime and Victim Services
Laurie Malone, Deputy District Attorney, Pre-Trial Division
Dr. Maria Kefalas, Professor of Sociology, Saint Joseph’s University (moderator)
